Was wondering if anyone here could recommend a Traffic ananlizer, one that can show us where our traffic is destined for and how much that, peer, or site is getting? Thanks Jeremy

NetFlow and related tools. Cisco's own NetFlow and CAIDA's cflowd tools are the two I'm familiar with. <URL:http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/732/Tech/netflow/> <URL:http://www.caida.org/tools/> -jr ---- Josh Richards [JTR38/JR539-ARIN] <jrichard@geekresearch.com/cubicle.net/fix.net/freedom.gen.ca.us> Geek Research LLC - <URL:http://www.geekresearch.com/> IP Network Engineering and Consulting

What kind of additional load (CPU, RAM) does NetFlow put on a router (say a 7505 or 7513)? How does it work with CEF (along side it or in place of it)? -- Chris Adams <cmadams@hiwaay.net> Systems and Network Administrator - HiWAAY Internet Services I don't speak for anybody but myself - that's enough trouble.

I recently turned it off on one of our 7206's where it was using about 6mb of RAM and increasing the CPU load by about 20 points. 128mb doesn't go as far as it used to. -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon Lewis *jlewis@lewis.org*| I route System Administrator | therefore you are Atlantic Net | _________ http://www.lewis.org/~jlewis/pgp for PGP public key_________
