Lucent WaveLAN PC Cards?
Does anyone know it there will be support for the new 802.11 2.4GHz WaveLAN cards at the Atlanta NANOG or only the older, non 802.11 compliant ones? Either way, can someone recommend a clueful wholesale distributor (or worst case, "retail" dealer) of the Lucent WaveLAN hardware so that I can buy an appropriate PC card before I come? The last time we bought some, they were the DEC cards that work at nanog and IETF, we bought them from Lookout Technologies. It took sometime to find a place to buy them but have been happy with them. http://www.lookouttech.com/ Christian
Wayne and all, I was able to find the Lucent cards (old and new) from GTE Supply in Atlanta. Check with Jocelin Malone at 800-433-4837x3769. I know that for the Digital cards, your best bet is AVNET, my contact there was Vicki Brewster at 800-426-7999...we needed Digital building to buiding radios and were able to find them (standalone) there. -Jay

Both 802.11 and proprietary protocols (e.g. older Wavelan and RoamAbout) networks will be supported. Form more information, please see http://www.nanog.org/mtg-9811/network.html All questions about NANOG conference arrangements/facilities/agenda should be directed to nanog-support@merit.edu.
