There's something to be said when a company specializing in streaming media can't even prove to NANOG that it works. File not found, et al. Alex Sprintlink Network Operations (ebo ebpxryy qvq vg. v'z frevbhf!)
Update: File is found at least, but it's hung "buffering" :) -=asr On Tue, 10 Feb 1998, Friskies wrote:

Guys, I think we are being a little hard on the PN people. Has anyone else left a ping running to the local segment at the hotel? There are huge amounts of time when no data can get through. The PN guy said that they normally install a ISDN to transit the data, but this time they used the connectivity that was at NANOG. It was not their fault that the connectivity sucked at NANOG and they could not transport the data to the server. In fact, when it was working I found the audio/video quality very good. I think it will work next time if they can just get the data from the hotel to the server. -- Nathan Stratton Telecom & ISP Consulting www.robotics.net nathan@robotics.net

I agree. It was an interesting experiment. I was impressed with the RealAudio toolset in this venue. Thanks, RealAudio. Eric Carroll eric.carroll@acm.org Tekton Internet Associates
