Clarification from Pica8 (was Fwd: Mystery open source switching company claims top-of-rack price edge)
I just talked to Lin Du (who I worked with when I was at Woven), who is the current CEO of Pica8. Don't know anything about the product, but this didn't seem like Lin's style. Turns out Fontaine GUILLAUME has registered pic8.org@gmail.com, has no relation to the company - and is trying to prove to them that he should be a reseller. Lin has told GUILLAUME to stop (not that that will do any good). Some e-mail fragments below. Chris Begin forwarded message:

Hi, Chris,
Thanks for your reminding. This guy wants to resell the Pronto products but without any partnership with us yet. He even registered an email with my name as Pica8.org@gmail.com for posting.
I sent another email to let him stop doing this anymore. I need to clarify NANOG for this. Thanks,
Lin

Guillaume, Please stop using pica8 name in your posts, emails and any other public messages. We didn't grant you to do in this way. You could be pica8 partner until you are legally qualified. Thanks,
