Looks like they're going to be an Exchange Point Operator (EPO?)... I don't know about Dec as an NSP. Avi
So is Digital going to become an NSP too?
No, Digital is not going to become an NSP. The service descriptions will be made available at URL http://www.ix.digital.com/ after 00:01 PDT on Thursday, July 18th (a little over five hours from now as I write this). DIEPA? :-)
Sorry, David, but Kim Claffy scored first on that one - complete with a proposed pronunciation. Strangely, the acronym that I've seen used the most in reference to the site is PAIX. Not that I would say such as thing. Yes, PAIX (er, Digital Internet Exchange - Palo Alto) is the site where CIX's router palo-alto.west.cix.net is located.
-drc Dirk who?
Dirk Apnic of Dirk Apnic's Holistic Internet Registry? :-) The Adventures of Dirk are just beginning ... I predict that Dirk will play a key role in uncovering the massive government conspiracy engineered by the Saucer People in conjunction with the Reverse Vampires. And you thought the TLD nonsense was bad ... So is Digital going to become an NSP too?
Allegedly in the UK too, judging by some of their job adverts. Cisco next no doubt :-) Alex Bligh Xara Networks
