Mark, During the IETF in July, you mentioned that you were planning to hold an NSFNET Regional Techs meeting in September. Do you have any details about the schedulding (or cancellation) of this meeting? For those who have to travel a long way or whose schedules tend to fill up far in advance, it would be helpful be able to start planning for a Regional Techs meeting as soon as possible. Thanks, --Vince
Hi, we're trying to nail down a date towards the end of Sept; are there known bad dates? Also is there a preference out there for end-of-the-week or beginning-of-the-week meetings in order to get the "stay over Saturday" discounts? Thanks for bringing this up Vince, we're all slightly distracted at the moment (for about the next week).... Ken Latta, Merit Network, Inc. SIGCOMM is the week of the 13th. I am presuming you are planning for Ann Arbor? If so, I am interested in attending. Eric Carroll University of Toronto Computing & Communications Network & Operations Services, External Network Fac. Management CA*NET/ONET Network Engineering
Perhaps we could slide this meeting to late September/Early Oct? Perhaps gated by an non-UM football weekend for those who need to stay over a weekend ... Also, it would be a good idea for the participants to propose topics they are interested in as soon as possible. cheers, peter

>>> Hey, there are those of us who want to go to a UM football game!!! Okay, you get to go to the football game, but what hotel do you plan to stay in? ON the other hand, we could all camp out at Knopper's house. I realize there will be no hotels or parking (well there never is parking), but the games are really fun and if we book in advance we should be able to get hotel rooms. If not, I have heard that Mark's house is quite nice :-) ---Cathy
