I may be on the wrong list here but here it goes. Can someone direct me to the right place for complaining about a US ISP who continues to host a know spammer. We can block his domain but this might not be fair to others. I have spoken to the LA providor (who I will not name as yet) after he refused to answer e-mail. However calling the US from Australia can get expensive. Any ideas where to turn?
This isn't strictly the right list. However, try: http://maps.vix.com/rbl/ "Anthony Sticha" writes:

http://maps.vix.com/rbl/ or the providers upstream would be an even better bet (if they have one) Sam

By all means block them, if it solves a problem. If you have proof of what they are doing, why not go ahead and name them, including the proof. Or just enclose a sample of the spam, headers and all, without any accusations. It would be unfair to others to NOT help get rid of this ISP and/or get the other customers of this ISP to move on to greener pastures sooner. -- Phil Howard | crash517@dumbads0.org stop3184@noplace6.edu w6x0y1z7@no9place.edu phil | ads3suck@noplace4.edu a2b9c6d8@no6where.edu eat5this@spam6mer.com at | suck1it2@no42ads6.org ads2suck@no5place.net ads2suck@noplace0.com ipal | stop6it6@no8place.edu stop9ads@anywhere.net stop0it3@s1p1a1m5.com dot | stop0ads@spam3mer.com blow9me2@s5p9a9m5.edu w5x8y5z8@nowhere2.edu net | end3it02@s1p9a7m0.com eat0this@anywhere.com stop4932@lame9ads.edu

Could you be kind enough to tell me the name of the provider? We recently had a problem with a LA provider's customer bouncing mail off of a customer's server. Unfortunately, I'd have to dig for the specifics. If this is still going on I'd like to blackhole their entire netblock to prevent it from happening again. Thanx. - Forrest W. Sorry, Didn't mean for my response to go to all of nanog. Geez, you'd think that after nearly 7 years on the internet and many many hundreds of e-mails sent, I'd learn to double check my to: and cc: fields. - Forrest W.
