RE: Global Crossing Network Problem.
I'm not from GLBX, but I we do peer with them so I get the maint notices. They are have been doing a lot of router upgrades in SunnyVale for the past week. I seek from the trace you sent in that the failures are occuring there. -----Original Message----- From: Mohamed Hirse [mailto:madlion@justin.net] Sent: Tuesday, June 27, 2000 2:03 PM To: nanog@merit.edu Subject: Global Crossing Network Problem. Can someone from Global crossing help explain this problem. There seems to be some sort of internal network problem. Traceroutes attached. This affecting many of GBLX customers. I'm not from GBLX either, but we did hear there was a fiber cut in SF today. It doesn't quite explain why I can't reach SNV2 from SNV (right across the street from each other). -j On Tue, Jun 27, 2000 at 02:14:01PM -0700, Karyn Ulriksen wrote:

I'm not from GLBX,
Me neither. As Randy Bush pointed out yesterday, most people on this list (other than him) are, after all, from GTE hosting. -- Alex Bligh VP Core Network, Concentric Network Corporation (formerly GX Networks, Xara Networks)
