Re: hearing word of a fiber cut in virgina
Not too shabby. Fiber cut at 2:02pm CDT (3:02pm EDT, 12:02pm PDT), first NANOG posting within 21 minutes. You beat the first carrier notification by about 5 minutes.

Hello,
Seems to be a MFS fiber cut in Bowling Green, Virgina. This is all the information I have at this time. -- Sean Donelan, Data Research Associates, Inc, St. Louis, MO Affiliation given for identification not representation

Probably because he caused the cut... (just kidding!!). More broadly, I had this idea for a NANOG T-shirt. Under the slogan, "Don't Get Mad, Get Even" -- the image of a backhoe lined up in the crosshairs of a weapon... Craig

And don't forget the NANOG firing range. NERF makes a gun called the "Defender T3" that would be appropriate for target practice on some cardboard backhoe cutouts lined up on a table. ;-) -- Michael Dillon - E-mail: michael@memra.com Check the website for my Internet World articles - http://www.memra.com

That would make the "Defender T3" a T3 defender in that particular application. Perhaps NERF should come out with a "Defender OC192"; it could be a lot more fun. :-) :-) --zawada Paul J.
