Thanks everyone,
I feel a lot more confident on this project after this discussion. I will be working with a comm engineer who'll be doing the various radio links. I just need to be sure he can make the best decision as we're moving from ATM to MPLS and he doesn't understand the networking part and I only understand the basics of microwave links.

Quite a lot of them do now since most of their installs are IP traffic backhaul. ----------------------------------------------- There is no choice in this situation. I get what I get and make it work. And, it is hard to find technical folks *way* out in the country on a dot in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. :-) scott

Hi Scott, Just a few tips from someone who did some of the RF engineering and ran a mpls network in a previous job :- Watch your MTUs. Also, watch out for flow control - talk to your radio vendor to see if you will need it enabled. Good luck :) -Tim
