Thank you for sharing these remembrances, Randy. For me these are a good reminder of the very human side of computer networking. -- packetcat https://bastetrix.com
Randy, I, too, appreciate your thoughtfulness. Although I never got to work with Dr. Itojun, he definitely was a pathfinder for IPv6 deployment that we owe a great deal to. There is a memorial fund for his ISOC Service Award, to which interested people can contribute: <https://www.internetsociety.org/grants-and-awards/itojun-service-award/> Itojun Service Award<https://www.internetsociety.org/grants-and-awards/itojun-service-award/> internetsociety.org<https://www.internetsociety.org/grants-and-awards/itojun-service-award/> [ichirohagino.jpg]<https://www.internetsociety.org/grants-and-awards/itojun-service-award/> -mel via cell On Oct 29, 2024, at 8:49 AM, packetcat <packetcat@bastetrix.com> wrote: On Tue, 29 Oct 2024, at 08:58, Randy Bush wrote: and today in 2007, itojun died. ipv6 samurai, researcher, netbsd, iab, ... a gentle soul and friend to many randy Thank you for sharing these remembrances, Randy.
