Correct me if I'm wrong but the solid optics power meter is just rebranded PPI? Also what about a decent but reasonably priced OSA? Suggestions? I've got the CWDM version of this, and it does the job. Haven't explored the test result downloading/archiving features (didn't expect them to work with Linux anyway) but overall it was very helpful for measuring loss across various passive muxes (where DDM wasn't available).
