Rain storm in Northern California

There's a really strong rain storm in the Bay Area (California) with the usual thunder, lightning and strong wind. The only kicker is that approximately 300,000 customers are without power. So expect some data centers and businesses to be on UPS right about now. Crossing the Benicia bridge tonight was a bit scary, the car was getting pelted with strong wind, rain and I think hale, or gravel?
