South Jersey Gas Co. crews were digging about 5:25 p.m. when they hit the 2-inch gas main, said utility spokesman Al Ruggiero. I'll close my input by saying this was clearly distribution, not transmission. Transmission lines are ~10-30" dia and do not run through resi. areas {for the most part...}.
