There should be a host accepting telnet sessions for on-line updates (which have to be installed *immediately*, so whoever added a network can test connectivity and go ahead).

This supports online queries and not online updates. We have working code for online updates but it is not deployed because of unresolved authorisation and authentication issues and the fact that mail works quickly wnough for our customers. Daniel
