| You mean mae-east is requiring custom, substandard, ethernet implementations? No, just that MFS is using a box with a chipset which doesn't comply with IEEE 802.3 specs for interpacket-delay. This is still a very very very bad and serious problem, though.
Why hasn't MFS fixed this? How long has MFS known about this problem? Aren't there other hardware implementations that can do the same thing as the Magnum boxes but without the broken-ness? I seem to remember hearing about very serious loss rates at MAE-East months ago... Curiously, -drc
