It went something like: "Network numbering and name resolution must be implemented in a way that meaningfully represents the connection between a network connected device and its business function." This doesn't address routing, scalability, or any of the other issues in network numbering, but as someone whose job it is to track down misbehaving hosts, this kind of meaningful information is critical. -- batz
