Does anyone know of any non-ISP companies that have decided to multi-home? Is this a major trend for non-ISP companies running mission-critical applications on the Internet?
So far, I only know of a couple, with PointCast being one of them.
I think Fidelity Investments have also. There are a few companies in the UK that have done this.
We have several non-ISP customers who are now multi-homed. All of them are, like PointCast, seriously in the business of providing net services of some kind although they're not ISPs.
