NEW YORK (CNN) -- A major power outage simultaneously struck dozens of cities in the United States and Canada late Thursday afternoon.
TV news reporting that it was due to a lightning strike just south of Niagra. Seems to have cascaded rather badly. Bell Canada appealing to customers only to use cellphones and landlines for 911 emergencies. -- Roland Perry
