If you want to blame spam on a single corporatin, the graphs clearly show to blame microsoft. Besides, they have more money then Verisign anyway :)
Perhaps you didn't (or don't) use a filter that header checks the domain in the envelope. We did, and we had a tremendous increase in spam allowed through the servers.
