I'm sure other infrastructure providers are watching Katrina's track closely as it heads inland. Wind becomes less of an issue as the storm degrades, but there's still plenty of rain left in a tropical storm or a tropical depression to cause major flooding well away from the hurricane makes landfall. Pittsburgh, PA is pretty far inland, but the remnants of Ivan last year did a real number on us last September. A number of COs in low-lying areas did receive at least some flood damage, with a small handful being taken out of service completely. jms
