What AS690 does is not just bureaucratic silliness. It's also enlightened self-interest (as Curtis keeps saying). If enough people have the sense to want to protect themselves, the Routing Registry will fly.

I would say wanting to protect is one thing, but nothing flies without a little bit of force or persuasion. Currently you can have whatever in radb and nobody cares since it is not mandatory to consult this registry. At NSF it was mandatory. Mike
