Well, the value of the deal has gone down to about $12.4 billion since "WorldCom"'s stock has taken a tumble today, down almost 14%. The deal is just a stock swap, so they really don't have that much cash. But the new MFS WorldCom is said to rival the baby bells in market cap, and it will be bigger than MCI. The interesting part of it all is that now there is one company that can provide the local loop, the inter-exchange circuit, and the Internet port. Bradley Dunn Harbor Communications ----------

...and where did they get 14.1 billion dollars? Does this mean that it's going to be even harder to deal with MFS? Humpf.
