Canadian ops working under a U.S. TN visa

I am in the last-moment phase of moving from Canada to the U.S. for a one-year contract. Tomorrow I will be crossing at the Peace Bridge at Niagara to apply for my TN visa. Could anyone here who may have gone through this process contact me off-list to answer a few simple questions? Thank you, Steve
