I don't want to belabor the obvious, but living in afghanistan pretty much sucks already... What appeares to be the largest offensive since the taliban took kabul back in 96 appears to have started in the north. With something like 40% of the population under the age of 14 and the life expectancy pegged at about 45 it's fair to say that most of the population hasn't lived in a time when there wasn't a war going on in afghanistan, since the russians invaded in 1979.
