My point is there are more than enough IPv4 addresses. The issue is not resources. It is hoarding and inappropriate use.
The large ISPs have enough IPs to service every household in the US several times over. And yet, we have an IP shortage.
There are universities holding onto /8s and not using them.
IPv6 just feels like a knee jerk reaction.
