So what's the update. Has iran gone back?
I don't think so but I think that there are interruptions. There is still BGP to at least some Iranian sites. The University of Teheran, for example, has *> 80.66.176.0/21 38.101.161.116 61951 0 174 7473 12880 29068 i *> 80.66.184.0/21 38.101.161.116 61951 0 174 7473 12880 29068 i Its (English) web service, http://www.ut.ac.ir/en/ is at 80.66.177.63 and that is both reachable and pingable. So, the site is reachable and the DNS is still there. However, the (small but steady) Iranian audience for AmericaFree.TV has largely, but not entirely, vanished for the last 24 hours. That suggests to me something is being blocked, but not uniformly. Regards Marshall

I exchanged notes with someone in Tehran shortly after 6am EDT this morning. NPR is at least partially incorrect.

Npr (All things considered) is reporting that cell phones and Internet access in at least Teheran if not all of Iran is down. Reporters are unable to connect out.
Anyone hear of anything? -steve
