Is anyone else out there having trouble doing a whois to rs.internic.net? I've tried from 3 diff networks and can't get an answer. This has been going on for at least 2 hours. Most frustrating. -joe

Having the same problems myself. Traceroute to rs.internic.net works fine, but I get nothing back from it at all. Joe Shaw - jshaw@insync.net NetAdmin - Insync Internet Services On 12 Jun 1997, Joseph McDonald wrote:

There are some server hardware problems on some equipment we are using on a temporary basis. They are being fixed by the sys admins and hardware support as we speak. Mark PS. You are welcome to send mail to action@internic.net to report system troubles. There is NOC personnel that are responsible to monitor that account.

It looks like the Internic was having trouble with its upstreams. I was having apparent trouble with MCI and UUNET earlier this morning, but didn't have a lot of time at the time to troubleshoot where exactly the problem was. ********************************************************* Justin W.
