PAIX and Abovenet (both subsidiaries of MFN) have space, power and various forms of connectivity available at 111 8th. Anyone who was impacted by the WTC disaster and who needs a place to set up an emergency network node should get in touch w/ me (I'll intro you to MFN or to Abovenet if PAIX can't help.)

Although we are just a little NOC in no-where... without the facilities available of PAIX and Abovenet, we are fairly impromptu, geek friendly and also willing to do whatever we can on short notice from Chattanooga. We have already setup a few DNS servers and mail forwards. --Mike-- www.highertech.net

<shameless> As well, we've got space in both NJ and PA available. Not only datacenter space, but > 60,000 feet of office space that is DR ready. the NJ stuff is near NJ Transit stops. </shameless> On Wed, 12 Sep 2001, mike harrison wrote:

It's not shameless.. offers of help from 'geek level' to 'geek-level' to keep things running are what NANOG should be all about. --Mike--

I'll second that offer of assistance. I'm not a backbone operator, I'm a virtual ISP and so cannot offer transit, but I will certainly be pleased to offer mail/web/DNS emergency services for whoever needs them. -- JustThe.net LLC - Steve "Web Dude" Sobol, CTO - sjsobol@JustThe.net Donate a portion of your monthly ISP bill to your favorite charity or non-profit organization!
