It appears that the connections between ames and the rest of mae-w are totally dead... We have a new connection to ames and an old one to the giga's.... I have tested with both, and on the ames side, all ames peers come up, and on the giga side, all giga peers come up. I am attempting to contact mfs now. /Sean _________________________________ Sean Butler, CCIE #3897 AT&T Global Services -- OpenNet Support Phone: 727-533-8830 Fax: 813-878-5475 Internet email: sebutler@us.ibm.com

Many things are dead at MAE-West. We have an interface now giving over 98% packet loss (i.e. BGP doesn't come up). -- Alex Bligh GX Networks (formerly Xara Networks)

They did say they were going to upgarde the code. Since I didnt see any other outage, I am going to assume this was the upgrade. Christian

If it was an upgrade, I apologize for posting... Looking back through the archives, I do see a note from Steve F. that there would be an upgrade this week, though I did not get a notice of the time... And when I called MFS, the person there just said there must be a problem as they'd gotten several calls on it -- but she didn't mention an upgrade!! Oh well, it looks like it is mostly back, though a few peers have not recovered. It looks much better than it did an hour ago! ___________________________________ Sean Butler, CCIE #3897 AT&T Global Services -- OpenNet Support Phone: 727-533-8830 Fax: 813-878-5475 Internet email: sebutler@us.ibm.com
