A surprisingly good interaction (Summit)
Hi all, This really isn't the sort of mail that I normally send, but I had such a good interaction with an organization that I wanted to share. I have had a server hosted at Summit (summithq.com, formerly ServerCentral / Deft) for ages. After many years of faithful service, it finally threw a drive, and so I shipped them a new one to replace it… All of my interactions with Summit were great - everyone I dealt with was super responsive, competent, helpful, and friendly. It took me a few weeks to get the new machine ready to be shipped, and someone checked in with me a couple of times during this to make sure that everything was OK. The machine finally arrived at their loading dock at ~10:30AM, and was installed (with coordination) before noon. They offered to recycle my old box, and were seriously a pleasure to work with the whole time… This is an odd email to be coming from me — I'm much more inclined to kvetch and snark — but I am really impressed with Summit and their support. W P.S: I have no relationship with Summit, other than being a happy customer.
