Hard to report an outage to the Outages list when it’s dead… Anyway, the Outages list is dead at the moment. And likely all the lists hosted at puck.nether.net <http://puck.nether.net/>. Additionally, the primary web site for the NTP Pool, run by Bjorn Ask, is down. The pool itself seems functional for NTP purposes, but the web interface is dead. ---- Andy Ringsmuth 5609 Harding Drive Lincoln, NE 68521-5831 (402) 202-1230 andy@andyring.com

Does the rectangle animation on the puck webpage asking “Looking for human skulls? We got ‘em!” followed by rolling skulls, indicate a hack? Or is that just normally there? -mel

The NTP Pool site is back. Looks like it was a fiber cut (of course). It was down for the better part of a day or so. https://status.equinixmetal.com/incidents/3svngx53jz9j Nothing on the Outages issue yet though that I can see. Mel - on the human skulls thing, I think that’s always been there from what I recall. ---- Andy Ringsmuth 5609 Harding Drive Lincoln, NE 68521-5831 (402) 202-1230 andy@andyring.com

That's been there for a long time. --msa

The system has a primary Kubernetes cluster running the website, monitoring control plane, log/metrics, etc, etc. The facility hosting that cluster was having a rough night (as Andy noted), splitting the cluster in pieces that specifically made the website not work. https://status.ntppool.org/incidents/8ss3739t4nzt Ask

I saw it’s back up and running, Ask. And I apologize I had your name flipped around. It was early and I jumped too quickly on my initial post before getting my morning coffee. Thanks for all you do for the NTP Pool! It is tremendously appreciated. -Andy
