Why not using the newsgroup comp.dcom.sys.cisco?
1. Nobody wants to pay for USENET access anymore , unless you're ripping software/media. 2. Free USENET access generally has poor retention and often misses large chunks of messages. It's just extra work for more limited and inconsistent access , compared to the puck mailing lists which have operated very well for decades now, only seeing a recent hiccup because of a server death. I was a big fan of the *-nsp@puck.nether.net<mailto:*-nsp@puck.nether.net> mailing lists that now seem to be completely gone without any indication of whether or when they might return.
I've been considering just setting up new ones.
Another idea:
Why not using the newsgroup comp.dcom.sys.cisco?
It already exists and is distributed, so no single operator can shut it down.
