Welcome to our all-new web presence, with a community-first approach. Since our original charter was formed, we’ve seen many changes as an organization, and grown substantially: branching off from Merit to become an independent, self-governing organization; growing the NSFNET’s Regional-Techs meetings from a handful of engineers to often hosting more than 1,200 attendees at our tri-annual conferences; hiring a new Executive Director, Edward McNair; and doubling our staff. On the top of McNair’s list in his first year as Executive Director? Refreshing NANOG’s decades-old identity, and revamping the organization’s web presence. "Helping NANOG continue to evolve as an organization for the 21st century is one of my primary goals,” says McNair. "The website served us well for many years, but has remained unchanged since NANOG was founded. We needed a website that not only made the experience of engaging with us in a digital space more efficient and enjoyable,” he continues, “but one that also adequately reflected our innovative and diverse community.” Quick links + highlights you won’t want to miss: - NANOG 77 <https://www.nanog.org/meetings/nanog-77/> - Future Meetings <https://www.nanog.org/meetings/future/> - Past Meetings <https://www.nanog.org/meetings/past/> - NANOG Membership <https://www.nanog.org/participate/membership/> - NANOG Mailing List <https://www.nanog.org/resources/nanog-mailing-lists/> - Archive <https://archive.nanog.org/> - The new site is fully optimized so you can more easily register, plan your stay, schedule appointments, and submit a presentation for an upcoming meeting — even from a mobile device. - Access tools to help you grow and evolve in your field, such as: tips for crafting presentations <https://www.nanog.org/participate/tools-tips/> that resonate with your audience; a guide of the most commonly used acronyms <https://www.nanog.org/resources/acronym-guide/> in our industry; and a directory of other like-minded orgs <https://www.nanog.org/resources/organizations-our-community/> in our community. - Read member features and stories on our new blog <https://www.nanog.org/stories/>, plus keep up with ongoing industry news <https://www.nanog.org/news-stories/nanog-news/>. - Follow us + join the convos happening on NANOG’s social media channels (quick links in the site footer). - Learn more about the tools and resources <https://www.nanog.org/outreach/nanog-outreach/> we offer for students and working professionals, which are central to NANOG’s mission. - Learn more about the many ways you can support NANOG — run for office <https://www.nanog.org/about/who-we-are/elections-nominations/>; volunteer your time; make a donation <https://www.nanog.org/participate/donate-nanog/>; become a community ambassador <https://www.nanog.org/outreach/get-involved/>; shepherd a new attendee; or give a presentation <https://www.nanog.org/participate/presentation-guidelines/> — all in one place. - Discover the value of investing <https://www.nanog.org/participate/value-sponsorship/> in the strength of the NANOG community, and view sponsorships <https://nanog.org/meetings/nanog-77/sponsorship-opportunities-nanog-77/> currently available. - Learn how we’re working to ensure every NANOG space is a safe + welcoming place to gather, for each and every member of our community, through NANOG’s updated Code of Conduct <https://www.nanog.org/about/code-conduct/>.
