Warning: Facebook AC -> USB adaptor

Plugged in the FB wall wart to charge the MRV battery, didn't have a USB cable or anything plugged in, just inserted wall wart into wall in bathroom here in hotel. POOOOOOOOOOOOOOF!! The magic smoke escaped instantly. :( Of course, a single data point is only a single data point, but figured I'd let others know. -- TTFN, patrick

FWIW, I've used the FB adapter to recharge an iPhone several times (basically since I got it) w/o incident. Just a second datapoint. Next NANOG panel discussion: "Hey my cheap electronic schwag is really cheap!" Tried on the Tshirt, didn't get a rash. Stay safe with whatever you do. Tony On 2/13/14 4:32 PM, "Patrick W. Wait, are you sure that was the FB USB charger and not the Network Hardware Resellers Electric Bong?

I don't know about all of you but my feet melted when I put on the OSI Hardware socks... Reid On Feb 13, 2014 9:06 PM, "Michael Sinatra" <ms@es.net> wrote:
