Re: [Attendee] Heads-up - train from PHL airport to Loews is closed8-9 Oct.

Or you can stay in the train station and take a septa train two stops free with your amtrak stub. Ask one of the amtrak folks for the next train going to east market. That is two blocks from the hotel Brad Sent from my android phone Samuel Weiler <weiler@watson.org> wrote:

you all can just walk out the 30th st station, drop down the septa stairs and catch the train toward Frank<something> ... 2$ gets you 2 stops (13th st) and a short jaunt around the block to loews. (the 13th st septa is across the street from 1 of the 3 marriotts surrounding the loews.)
"The Market-Frankford line" toward Frankford. It's the subway line with blue signs (v. the subway with orange signs).

Not to mention the parade today. Several streets shut down and rerouted. If traveling by car, give yourself extra time and a GPS. ----- Original Message ----- From: Brad Passwaters [mailto:bpasswaters@aol.com] Sent: Sunday, October 09, 2011 01:43 PM To: Samuel Weiler <weiler@watson.org>; attendee@nanog.org <attendee@nanog.org> Subject: Re: [Attendee] Heads-up - train from PHL airport to Loews is closed8-9 Oct. damned it, what? I could have just used my amtrak stub? :( also, why is the septa exit bad after hours? I think I've stumbled around there many times after ietf/nanog/arin/etc at night and not noticed anything more sketchy than other philly streets.

I'm with Chris on this. I've been in that area many times after hours and I wouldn't consider it any riskier than being in any other City. Market-East will put you right next to the hotel though, so either way is a safe bet IMO. -jason On 10/9/11 2:01 PM, "Chris Morrow" <morrowc@google.com> wrote:
