Being from Philly, I'd like to add that once it gets dark out, I'd highly recommend only using a taxi to travel between 30th St station and the hotel. Even though it's a short walk from the train station to the hotel or the hotel to evening events, I'd still travel by cab and not walk. Or try and walk in groups. you all can just walk out the 30th st station, drop down the septa stairs and catch the train toward Frank<something> ... 2$ gets you 2 stops (13th st) and a short jaunt around the block to loews. (the 13th st septa is across the street from 1 of the 3 marriotts surrounding the loews.)

Yeah, pickup is at [8] the bus takes you to 30th street station, then train to Market East, short walk. 7 bucks.

Hi folks,

While the train from the airport in Philly to the Loews Hotel on 12th and Market is usually the best way to approach City Center, this weekend it is closed for repairs.

Apologies for the short notice but please plan to either take the bus or jump in a cab ($30ish) to reach the conference hotel.

The good news is the weather is lovely and the various marches towards City Hall have been colorful experiences this afternoon.
